2.0.7 just went live last night and now has the ability to connect to more then one HAI controller. This has been the number one most requested feature by users. If you have only one system then H@me will continue to work as it does today. Those with more then one configuration, one to their home, boat and vacation property or even just an inside/outside setup for example, will be prompted with a named list of systems to connect to at start-up. Other features added since 2.0.4 include fan cycle mode, better network and syncing robustness, improved long name support and various GUI enhancements.
Hi Dan,
Just purchased 2.0.7 and when it loads I see the setup screen for about 1 second before the app closes, returns to the iPhone screen. I have a 3GS running 3.1.3. Already restarted phone, reinstalled app but no luck. Any ideas on what to do?
I am having the exact same issue. I’m a long time user, but I just did a wipe on my phone to set everything back up from scratch. Launch H@me 2.0.7, crashes after about 1 second before I can do anything.
Hey guys, really sorry about that, 2.0.7 had a bug that could crash on start-up, Apple just approved 2.0.8 about an hour ago which will fix the issue. Please let me know if if works for you.
Dan,
I have got to say, I have been a fan of H@ome ever since the HAI guys told me about it a year ago. 2.0 is awesome and I appreciate the fact that you are constantly updating and improving it. Speaking of updates, is there an iPad version of H@me in the works? H@ome still looks pretty good in 2x mode, but with all the extra screen real estate on the iPad, this thing could be an amazing portable touch screen at a fraction of the price of the Omnitouch 10e.
Same problem as Mike & Eric describe above. Running fine up to the 2.08 install; now constant crashes and/or inability to connect to my home controller.
@David, I’m slowly working on an iPad version, my 3g should arrive on Friday, so that will probably get me more motivated.
@Mehul can you report this problem on http://getsatisfaction.com/iphonehome ? This will help me track your issue and better get it resolved. Since 2.0.8 went live on Friday night I have not heard of any problems, so this is going to be a new one.
Will do, Dan
Question: When I enter the two encryption keys in the setup, should there be hyphens, colons or nothing between the characters? I receive the following error each time I enter the 16-digit strings: “Connection Failed, Bad Credentials”.
Dan,
When I enter multiple locations for different controllers, they all seem to want the same Encryption Key? Entering a different one for another controller overwrites the previous.
@Brian, i’ll take a look. I had one other person report this as well.
Hello Dan,
can’t seem to delete a system; swiping finger brings up delete button for about half a second before it vanishes (too quick to press it). Thanks!
@Brian, found the issue and will submit 2.0.9 to Apple today, thanks for the report.
@Eric, I did not test swipe to delete, but when you are in the setup menu and click the edit button, you should then be able to hit the standard delete circle on the left and the the bigger delete button on the right. Let me know if this works for you.
Can you please make the software for blackerry as well thank you
What is happening with multiple area support?
Thanks
