H@me 2.0.4

H@me 2.0.4 is  waiting for approval out and includes some really nice features.  First is the ability to customize the main menu.  You can remove, add and reorder the menu items.  This is great for those who may not use all the available features of their HAI system.   Other 2.0.4 changes include setting the high and low points on humidity and temperature sensors, adds an on/off switch to audio zone menus and adds .5 increments to Celsius related temperatures. You can download 2.0.4 on the iTunes store at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/h-me-2-0/id358348244?mt=8.

Hi Dan, I got the eprom upgrade firmware of my “omni-pro II Italian model, replacing then tell you how it goes.
Sorry I have a question .. but the EPROM upgrade is one or two?
    thanks and sorry ..

@borvin is just the one chip. It should have a sticker with the firmware number (like 2.xx). Make sure you power off the system, including unplugging the batteries before replacing it. Also ground yourself (or at least discharge any static by touching a grounded piece of metal) before replacing the chip. Also be careful not to bend the pins.

Thanks Dan, it works fine .. iPhone included.
I definitely left a positive feedback in Italian.
    bye ..

@Borvin that’s great, I’m pleased it all worked out for you!

First of all, thank you for your work. I seriously want to get this software as I have the 1.0. Just have a couple of questions. First, when will areas be supported and be able to armed seperately ? Secondly, does your software support the HAI Camera Server ? Finally, had a problem with thermostats on 1.0. Would show all of them and the correct setpoints. However, when switching from each stat, it would remember the previous info from the preious stat and incorrectly report the findings for the new one until you rebooted the software. Is this fixed in this version ? Thanks.

@Joe, thank you for the positive feedback. I will try and get areas into the next release. Are your areas “Named” , I’m just thinking about how I am going to display this to users who most do not have more then one area. The HAI camera server uses MJPEG so it should work, in firefox can you right click on the video and select “View Image”? this should open the image in a new tab or window and show you the link that you would use, in IE i think you can do something similar like “copy link address” or something (not an IE user obviously;-) If you could email me at homeapp.digitaldan.com that link that would be great so I can document it (maybe change the ip address before sending). Finally, yes the thermostat issue has been fixed along with displaying indoor and outdoor temps and humidity (if you have them).

    Hi Dan,

Bought the app, so far I like it.

Re: HAI camera server. I can’t get access to it outside the newtork via ddns and port forwarding (issue with camera server). Home 2.0 does work with the HAI camera server as long as I’m on local network. It shows all 4 cameras (I have installed) as jpeg and refreshes every 5 seconds or so. So far, it does not work outside the network to access cameras (again issue with camera server). I will email you the text string that works for local network for your knowledge.

Re: Areas. They are named(Main & Garage). Maybe incorporate this with multiple system support ? Example: Launch Home application. First screen shows systems available, select system, goes to areas installed, select area, goes to your existing home menu ????

Re: Thermostats. I would like to see one improvement. On the thermostats home page, it shows the name of the stat and current temp. When you click on the stat, it shows the name of the stat and temp on the top of the page, as long as name is short. Otherwise it shows partial name without temp (2nd floor…). I would like to see the first line of that menu show the name of the stat and current temp so that you don’t forget from the previous page. If you need pics, I can email them to you so you could see.

Other than that, think it’s great ! Keep doing what you’re doing !

Love the app. Any chance you could add support for multiple systems?

I love the software. I would love to see a local and remote login for those with ISP that don’t like to look at their broadcast IP address. Also, I need Ipad version… And group lights by rooms.

@Byron Not sure what you mean by “Broadcast address”, but and iPad version is in the works. I’m completely overhauling the interface for it. H@me does group your lights by rooms if your controller is setup to support it (HLC rooms).

I love v2. I purchased H@me v2 the very first day it was available. THANK YOU! I’d also really like to have the ability to control several HAI panels from your app. Two would be nice, three would be AWESOME! Keep up the great work!!

  14. 14 Dan

Marty, thanks for the feedback. Multiple panels will go out in 2.0.7 sometime next week.

    Dan,

Fan of the older free version. Just downloaded the new ver 2 paid version. For some reason, my IP..Key 1 and Key 2 info doesn’t stick. I’ve tried 3 times and once I exit, it’s all gone and I have to reinstall all that info. As you know the key’s are very lengthy.

What am I doing wrong?..thanks in advance.

  16. 16 Dan

@Jeff, your not doing anything wrong. 2.0.6 has a bug which prevented preferences from being saved, I actually pulled it from the iTunes store after 24 hours. I pushed 2.0.7 which has a totally reworked preferences screen to support multiple controllers yesterday. I’m really hoping that gets approved today. I will post back here and on my blog when that happens. It will also show up in your iTunes updates on your phone. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Any estimate on when the iPad version will be available, and if the iPhone version purchase price will be applied to the iPad product?

And, my primary ‘wish list’ item is the ability to group control items, buttons, etc. grouped by room or areas. What is meant by setting up the Omni Pro II controller for HLC rooms?

Thanks for your assistance and feedback.

HI Dan, Love the app! One problem is that My Lights do not report actual settings when opened ( if lights are already on, it does not report untill you turn them on and off from the app) Can you advise? Thanks
